About Me-A brief Geography

Thank you for peering into a window in my world.  I hope you stop by often.

A little info about me:  34-year-old female, not looking for long beaches on the walk–as I am married to my soul mate fifteen years this May.  Ten years later we were granted stewardship to our five-year old, Natalia.  Her birth changed our worlds dramatically.

I am a Native Texan with Yankee heritage.  I am a Heinz 57  as my cultural heritage–English, Irish, Scottish, Swiss, German, and a Smidgen of French.

I grew up in New Braunfels, Texas.  Went to school in San Marcos, lived in Austin for about ten years and now reside in Leander, Texas.  I am slowly making my way up I-35.

My husband and I work at the same government agency.  We commute together daily; sit in close proximity; share a 70 mile round trip daily; and we haven’t killed each other.  Amazing.

He drives while I read and write.  That is where I fit in the majority of my writing.

I am a writer.  Published in a few college articles and yearbook articles.  Won a few contests in high school.  And now at thirty-four years of age I am working on a collection of poetry and memoirs.  I have kept a journal since the age of nine; have volumes of history to draw from; and a goal to publish by 43.  I have the realistic expectation it will take about ten years to publish to the mass market–even if it’s just a book in print with 100 in circulation through a small independent press; I won’t stop there though.

I plan to join some local writer’s groups, submit to poetry and short-story writing contest, and of course keep up this blog in order to ease myself into a mass audience.

My goal is not financial, it is to touch someone, if just one person through my Creative Source driven words.  I rely on the Creative source, some earthly and spiritual muses, friends, and family as my Inspiration.

I call myself a writer because I write daily.  And that is the only way I will fulfill my goals to lending my message to the world.

Thank you for stopping by and visit again.  Don’t be a stranger.  Namaste
